Blue prints if you’re building a new home or having an addition built. If you're remodeling please bring some rough measurements of your kitchen area.

What will happen at our first showroom appointment?
|
|
|

|
Your designer will ask lots of question to assess your needs and wants. Together you’ll begin designing a functional, updated and attractive layout. Then, you’ll begin the process of selecting the wood, finish, door style, countertop and hardware. Don’t worry—everything that occurs at this meeting is preliminary and subject to change.

How long will our first meeting take and what will it cost.

The first meeting usually lasts between one and two hours. Design consultations are free.

How many meetings will it take?

As many as you need. We’ll guide you through the whole process at a pace that’s comfortable for you.

What is the time frame after ordering?

Normally, it takes us five to six weeks to build your cabinetry. Certain finishes may take a bit longer.

Do you supply installers?

Yes. Our highly experienced installers will amaze you with their skill, cleanliness and pleasant demeanor. They’ll respect your home or jobsite as if it were their own.

How long does it take to install the cabinets?

That depends on the size of the project and the type of countertop. Sometimes we can install an entire kitchen in just one day. More typical is two or three days for the cabinetry.

Does EHL Kitchens manufacture its own countertops?
|
|
|

We manufacture laminate, Corian®, and other solid surface tops. We have a close working relationship with granite and marble fabricators and can coordinate the entire process.

What if there’s a problem with something down the road?
|
|

We have great pride in our workmanship and that of our installers. That’s why we offer a lifetime warranty on all moving parts. All fixed parts are warranted for one year. You can be sure that any issues will be quickly handled by our service department.

Can I bring the kids?

We have a small area with a DVD player if your children are capable of entertaining themselves. Just bring along a favorite DVD.

Do you travel throughout the state?

Yes. We cover the entire state of Connecticut, and bordering sections of New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We also service the islands of Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Block and Fishers Island.

What type of woods and finishes do you offer?
|
|

We offer red and white oak, White and Red Birch, Louisville Ash, Maple, Select Cherry, Mahogany and Sapele Mahogany, Hickory and Walnut. Through our partnership with DeWils, we offer Bamboo and Alder as well. We have over 100 stains plus many stain-glazes. We can paint cabinetry any color you choose. We offer paint-glazes, antiquing and distressing.

Does EHL manufacture cabinets?

Yes. We’ve been manufacturing our cabinets in-house since 1965. We’re family operated and are now in our 3rd generation of cabinets makers. We also offer three brands of cabinetry made elsewhere.

How much will my new kitchen cost?

That depends on the quality you select, the choices you make and the layout. You’ll find our kitchens to be reasonably priced and we offer options to fit most any budget. And, with EHL Kitchen’s custom line, you buy factory-direct with no middle-man to drive up the costs.

Do you offer financing?

No. In order to keep prices as low as possible we don’t offer financing.

Do you have stock cabinetry available?
